Hans Grotewold

Hi, my name is Hans Grotewold I am 25 years old and I grew up in the small community of Running Springs in the San Bernardino mountains. I started my guiding career in the Eastern Sierra’s, where I’ve spent over 7 years as a professional fishing guide cultivating my craft and learning from the best.

I decided three years ago to go back to school and get my Captain’s License so I could begin the new adventure of guiding Pyramid Lake by boat. This will be my third season as a Captain on these waters.

I have learned throughout the years all of the best ways to navigate through the water to ensure every day on the lake is something to remember! “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” I truly believe that is the case and is the core foundation I have placed into Lacey’s Guide Service as a whole.

Brett Kennedy

Hello, my name is Brett Kennedy, I am 26 years old and fly fishing has been my passion since I was 12. I grew up in a small community named Lake Arrowhead in the San Bernardino mountains.

I participated in a lot of sports like most kids but when I started fly fishing all the other sports faded away. All I wanted to do was fish and further my knowledge as much as I could. I spend all my time taking my family and friends fishing in different and beautiful places. I get so much joy putting people on fish and seeing the excitement of others having a great time.

Growing up I had a couple ideas of what I wanted to do for a career but nothing that held my heart like fly fishing. This is when I decided it was time to team up with my buddy and become a Captian and fly fishing guide.
